HEAT SIGNATURES
In the digital void of our existential war, the only reality left is the heat of the person standing next to you.
Heat Signatures is a visual investigation into the distortion of reality under the pressure of modern attrition. Photographed within an active Ukrainian assault unit, the project maps the frontline not as a place, but as a cognitive state. By utilizing the spectral aesthetics of thermal optics and night-vision sensors, the work shows a world where natural light is taken away and time and space feel dense. It is a record of a nervous system on fire—a state where time flows at two speeds and the overwhelming power of sound merges with the strange, haunting sensations of the front. The series serves as a study of survival in an environment constantly threatened by machines, where the only reality left is the heat of the person standing next to you.
